Creating an experience

A ticketed experience is a special seating diners pay for up front — a wine dinner, a prix-fixe holiday menu, a chef's table. Unlike a normal reservation, a booking for an experience is prepaid per cover and only counts once it's paid. This guide covers setting one up.

Create it in venue settings

Under ticketed experiences in venue settings, add an experience with:

• Name — what diners see, e.g. "Wine dinner".
• Price per cover — the ticket price per guest, charged when they book.
• Date window — the From and To dates the experience is offered. It appears on the booking page only within these dates.
• Covers per day — the daily capacity, so you don't oversell the kitchen. Once a day's covers are booked, that day is full for the experience.
• Short description — an optional line shown to diners.

Each experience has a Live / Off toggle, so you can build one ahead of time and switch it on when you're ready to sell — or pull it instantly if plans change.

How diners book it

When a diner picks a date on your booking page that falls inside an experience's window, the experience is offered alongside normal availability. Choosing it, they prepay the per-cover price through your Stripe account as part of booking.

Because a priced experience always prepays, its booking stays pending until the payment is secured — the seat isn't truly held until they've paid. That's what makes it a ticket rather than a reservation: no payment, no confirmed seat. Payments run on the same Stripe account you use for deposits.

• Capacity — an experience's per-day cover cap limits how many you sell.
