Day-sheet, guest intelligence & service polish
- Faster seating by drag: pick up a booking and the tables that fit light up instantly, with the hint banner shown at once — no wait for the server. On touch screens, pull a card sideways to lift it (holding still works). Late parties now show a subtle red edge instead of a border, and guests with allergies carry a clear Allergy chip under their name.
- Arrivals, decluttered: one tap-to-count "Arrived 0/N" chip replaces a row of placeholder guest chips, "All here" checks a whole party in at once, and the card layout was rebuilt for phones and tablets.
- Booking widget, tuned for real restaurants: the embed preview now follows your language and party-size choices instantly, and rate limits were rebuilt so a full dining room — dozens of staff and guests sharing one connection — never sees a "too many requests" error. Abuse protection now targets the actual abuse (repeat blasts at one phone or email), not your wifi.
- Marketing, the consent-first way: opt-in win-back and birthday emails (off by default, express-consent only, one-tap unsubscribe), promo codes on your booking page with per-booking attribution, and a live in-app preview of your branded emails.
- Booking emails in your own voice: add a banner image, welcome line, info blocks (location, parking, policies) and a closing note to every confirmation, change notice, reminder and cancellation — then email yourself a preview before guests see it.
- Guest notifications, one switchboard: every automated guest email now has a per-venue toggle in settings — confirmations, waitlist join messages, booking reminders, and post-visit feedback requests. Reminders and feedback asks are off by default, and feed-synced bookings need their own separate opt-in before a reminder ever sends.
- Built for the host-stand iPad: press-and-hold a booking and drag it onto a table to seat, pinch to zoom the floor, and take a new reservation without leaving the room. The tablet tab bar also got its missing More button back.
- Arrivals, triaged: the door screen now groups tonight into overdue (with a live late timer), due now, and later — with allergy and VIP flags on every party, assigned tables, a name search, and a cleaner waitlist that turns red when a wait runs past its quote.
- Sharper briefings: the pre-service sheet reads shift by shift with lunch/dinner headers, shows each party's table and first-visit flag, and keeps the live waitlist count to today only.
- Connect an AI assistant (Pro): a read-only MCP endpoint lets Claude answer questions about your own data — availability dry-runs, booking lookups, integration health — with guest contact details always masked and every query audit-logged.
- Possible-duplicate detection: reservations that share a guest and land within 30 minutes of each other — like a partner feed double-submitting — get an amber badge and a side-by-side compare view to keep one and cancel the other, or dismiss it as not a duplicate.
- Reservations day sheet: shift tabs, covers and VIP totals per shift, and a pacing strip that shows how full every 15-minute window is against your cap.
- Timeline upgrades: drag a booking to a new time or table, resize its duration, seat large parties across multiple tables, and block a slot with one tap.
- Guest segments and auto-tags: guests are tagged automatically from real behaviour (regulars, big spenders, repeat no-shows) with a written reason, and you can save any filter — or a plain-English question — as a smart list.
- VIP alerts: get notified the moment a VIP books or walks in, with an optional AI briefing attached.
- Per-booking change history, a live waitlist position for guests, add-to-calendar in confirmation emails, and a closures & special-days calendar.
- Kitchen view: darker full-screen layout, per-column party and cover totals, and turn-time heat colouring so a long-running table stands out.
- New-guest flow: create a guest straight from the booking form's search box, with larger touch targets for tablets at the host stand.
